Jim Serpless

HONORARY FELLOW

Jim Serpless is an Australian Army officer and has served in various regimental and staff appointments within the Royal Australian Infantry Corps and Special Operations Command including deployments to the Middle East and Europe. A graduate of the Royal Military College, he holds a BA / LLB (Honours) from Monash University and is currently completing a Master of Strategy and Security at UNSW.

Jim’s professional and academic research interests include geopolitics, regional security, defence and military strategic issues and countering foreign interference.

Jim’s work has been published in the Canberra Law Review and Australian Outlook. Publications include ‘Targeted Killing in Modern Warfare’ and ‘Infinite Regress: Prioritising Decarbonisation in an Era of Unconstrained Geopolitical Competition’.
